Governing bodies
UNEF has an open and democratic institutional structure, specifically designed to successfully integrate all stakeholders and interests of the complex Spanish photovoltaic sector, regardless of their activity, size, or region.
The various governing profiles that make up the association are:
General Assembly: Comprised of all the companies integrated into the association, divided into six different sections in which members are classified according to their different activities:
- Producers Section: Dedicated to members whose activities focus on the production of electrical energy.
- Installers and Engineering Section: For members engaged in the installation of systems, project engineering, system maintenance, and administrative processing of photovoltaic projects.
- Manufacturers Section: Intended for manufacturers of solar-grade silicon, wafers, cells, modules, inverters, module support structures, storage systems, or other specific components for photovoltaic systems.
- Distributors Section: For distributors of photovoltaic system components.
- Mixed Section: Dedicated to activities such as project financing, manufacturing of auxiliary components for photovoltaic systems, consulting or professional advisory services, market representation, research centers, testing and certification laboratories, training centers, etc.
- Storage Section: For companies involved in the manufacturing, distribution, or sale of storage systems for photovoltaic projects.
- Energy Communities Section: For companies that wish to support and promote energy communities, with technical, financial, and technological management, as well as for associated energy communities.
Board of Directors: Consists of 15 members plus the President, who has a casting vote. The members are elected at the General Assembly every two years by the members of each section. The President, the public face of UNEF, is appointed by the General Assembly upon the proposal of the Board of Directors and serves a two-year term, with the possibility of being re-elected for successive periods of the same duration, up to a maximum of four terms.
