UNEF is organizing the conference “Sun, Water, and Land: Agrivoltaics and Floating Solar for a More Profitable and Resilient Agricultural Future” next Wednesday, December 3, in Murcia, at the Auditorium of the Paraninfo, University of Murcia (Rector Loustau Building).
The goal of the event is to analyze how agrivoltaics and floating solar can combine agricultural production with solar energy generation, improving sustainability, agricultural profitability, and water management in a context of increasing water stress.
The conference will bring together public representatives, agricultural organizations, universities, and companies to discuss the current state of agrivoltaics and floating solar in Spain, their alignment with the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), the progress of ongoing research projects, and the opportunities of floating photovoltaics in irrigated areas.
