UNEF has requested, since October 2018, the elimination of the building permit requirement for self-consumption installation in the different regions.
During 2020, a proposal was sent to all the Autonomous Communities urging them to adapt the regional urban planning laws to the reality of self-consumption, so that these facilities are processed viaprior communication, which would considerably speed up administrative processing.
“Improving the agility of procedures is, at this time more than ever, key to reactivate the activity of the entire network of freelancers and companies that can make self-consumption one more way of economic recovery” indicatedJosé Donoso, Director General of UNEF.
So far, UNEF has managed to eliminate this procedure in 12 regions: Balearic Islands, Extremadura, Catalonia, Andalusia, Castilla y León, Valencian Community, Canary Islands, Aragon, Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia, Navarra and the Community of Madrid, in that order..
